There are two types of memory in a computer.  A bow that stores data temporarily in a computer.  That is, when the computer is damaged, its data gets deleted.  This is called primary memory.

One that stores the data permanently in the computer.  That is, when the computer is turned off, its data is not deleted.  This is called Secondary Memory.  This is why data is saved in this memory.  So that it can be used in the future.

  Secondary storage Device:-

Secondary Storage Device is also called Auxiliary Storage Device.  It is not a part of the computer.  It is added separately to the computer.  The data that is stored in it.  It is permanent.  That is, when the computer is turned off, the store data is not deleted in it.  According to the requirement, it can be opened by saving files or folders in it in the future.  Or you can improve it.  And it can also be deleted by the user.  Its storage capacity is high.  And the speed of accessing data is slower than Primary Memory.
There are three types of data based on the access.

1. Sequential Access Storage Device: - In this action, storage data is accessed in the same order in which order is stored.  This axis verb is also called serial axis verb.  They are used in those institutions.  Where a large amount of data is stored.  And it is used in the same order.  In the audio and videotape case used in earlier times, this brand was used to access the data.  This procedure is used for taking backup cups of data and accessing it in large companies.  Magnetic tape is an example of this.

Hard disk: - Hard disk was developed to store data in the computer, nowadays it is being used in many areas beyond the computer.  Such as digital video recorders in digital cameras etc.
The ability to store data in a magnetic disk is very high.

Structure and Procedure: - Hard disk consists of a magnetic disk.  It has ahead for reading and writing data.  The hard disk is a central shalt.  In which the magnetic disk is attached.  Data is not stored on the upper surface of the hard disk and on the lower surface of the lower disk.  Data is stored on all other surfacstore.

The plate of the disc consists of Track and Sector.  There is a data store in the sector.  A sector has 512 bytes of data to store.

Based on the number of hard disk disks, the formula for finding how many surfaces will store data is (n x2) -2 total surface.

It takes three types of time to store and read data, which is as follows.

I. Seek Time: - The time taken to reach the track that reads or writes the data in the disk is called Seek Time.
2. Letancy time: - The time taken for the data to reach the sector in the track is called latency time.

3. Transfer Rate: - The time it takes to write and read data in the sector.  This is called Transfer Rate.
